The complete guide
Getting more from a soak-mode ultrasonic cycle
A dedicated longer soak mode on an ultrasonic cleaner is only as good as what goes in the water. Run it with plain water and you get the mechanical benefit of cavitation but skip the chemical cleaning a tablet provides; run a tablet without the ultrasonic cycle and you get the chemical action but miss the mechanical dislodging of debris from grooves and seams. Used together, matching a fizzing tablet to a cleaner's longer mode, the two address different parts of the same problem, which is the combination most soak-mode cycles are actually designed around.
